Of course we want you to be delighted with your purchase from This Modern Life, but we know that sometimes when buying online you just can't tell whether you've made the perfect purchase until you see it in the flesh... So it's fine to change your mind.
Please make sure you adhere to the following conditions in order for us to process your return or exchange as quickly as possible:
▲ Please be sure to take care of our products while they are in your care, as we are not able to refund or exchange anything that is not in pristine condition, unused, in its original packaging, and ready to be resold.
▲ The manufacturers packaging is considered part of the product - please do not damage or deface branded boxes/packaging.
▲ Original and return postage is non-refundable. Our returns address is below.
▲ Pop a copy of your packing slip or a note with your name, order number and phone number in the packaging so we can identify where it has come from and contact you if necessary.
▲ Return your items within 21 days of receipt, or 10 days for sale/discounted items. After 21 days we can offer a gift voucher, provided that the items are current stock.
▲ We cannot accept returns on custom products, including fabric (as it is cut to size) and personalised products.
Photoshoot Item returns
If you have paid for products for a photoshoot instead of asking to borrow them then the following return terms and conditions apply:
▲ Products opened and used for a photoshoot are considered ‘used’ items and will not be refunded in accordance with our normal returns policy. We are however more than happy to refund anything you have changed your mind on and decided not to shoot! Please be aware the normal returns policy still applies to this. If you'd like to exchange your product, please follow the returns advice above but drop us an email or pop a note in your parcel to say you'd like an exchange, and we'll organise it with you.
▲ We try to check all items prior to dispatch, but should an item arrive faulty or damaged, please let us know immediately (within 24 hours of receipt), and we will work out the best way to rectify it. Please send a photograph of the damage to the product(s) and parcel/packaging as soon as possible.
▲ Occasionally we do get it wrong - we're only human! If we've sent you the wrong item please let us know asap.
▲ We will send a returns label where possible. If you pay the postage you must agree the cost with us before returning if you would like to be reimbursed.
If your parcel doesn't arrive within 10 working days in the UK or 21 working days internationally please let us know. Unfortunately if we haven't been notified within this time period we may be unable to resend the goods or issue a refund.
